What race categories are available?
42km Marathon, 21km Half Marathon, 10km Fun Run, and 3km Inclusion Walk.
Is there an age limit?
Marathon/Half: 18+.
10km: 12+ (guardian consent if under 18).
Inclusion Walk: all ages.
Can I register a team or company group?
Yes. Use the Team/Corporate option or email info@runyaounde.com
When do registrations close?
Online registration closes 7 days before race day (subject to capacity). Late bib pick-up may be available at the Expo if slots remain.

Where is bib pick-up?
At the YCM Expo (venue TBA on the Event Info page). Bring an ID and your confirmation email.
What time do races start?
Provisional: Marathon 6:30, Half 7:00, 10km 8:00, Inclusion Walk 9:00. Final times will be posted on the Schedule page.
What are the cut-off times?
Marathon: 6h 30m. Half: 3h 30m. 10km: 2h.
What should I wear? Can I run in cultural attire?
Standard running gear is fine. Cultural attire is welcome if secure and safe for you and others.
When do registrations close?

Where can I view the route map?
On the Route Map page with hydration, medical, and entertainment zones.
Are there hydration and medical points?
Yes. Water/isotonic stations about every 2.5–3 km, plus medical tents and mobile EMTs.
Is the course officially measured and timed?
Yes, per national federation standards, with chip timing. Official results and certificates will be posted after the race.
Can I use headphones or bring a stroller?
Bone-conduction headphones recommended for awareness. Strollers are allowed only in the Inclusion Walk.
Inclusion & Accessibility
What accessibility support is available?
Priority bib pick-up, accessible toilets, and on-course assistance points. Email us for specific accommodations.
Is there a category for persons with disabilities?
Yes. The Inclusion Walk welcomes all abilities. Para-athletes in timed events can contact us to arrange safe start corrals.
What social causes does YCM support?
Autism awareness and inclusive education, aligned with national priorities.

Do you offer hotel partnerships?
Yes. Discounted partner hotels will be listed on the Travel page. Book early.
Which airport should I use?
Nsimalen International Airport (NSI), Yaoundé. Shuttle/taxi guidance will be on the Travel page.
Are there visa requirements?
International runners should check Cameroon’s current visa rules at official consular sources and allow time for processing.

Policies
What is the refund/deferral policy?
Entries are generally non-refundable. Deferrals may be offered for medical reasons (documentation required) up to 14 days before race day.
Can I transfer my bib?
Yes, within the transfer window on your registration dashboard. A small admin fee may apply.
What happens in severe weather or force majeure?
Safety first. We may delay, modify, or cancel the event per authorities’ guidance; updates will be posted on the Policies page.
What is YCM doing for sustainability?
Reduced single-use plastics, recycling at start/finish, and local sourcing where possible. Refill points available if you bring your own bottle.
